Former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Kobina Ade Coker, has passed away. His death marks the end of a significant political career spanning over a decade within the party.

He was first elected as the Greater Accra Regional Chairman in 2009 and served until 2022. He lost his re-election bid to the current regional chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore.
Beyond his contributions to politics, Mr. Ade Coker also played a role in Ghanaian football.2 He previously served as a Vice Chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), demonstrating his involvement in various aspects of national life.
Tributes have begun to pour in from members and associates describing him as a committed party stalwart and a dedicated public servant.
